Mitochondrial Bioenergetics

Corona virus and the shutdown of the university has made identifying a laboratory with the equipment I need and a researcher skilled in mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation difficult. But I have identified a possibility and I am progressing my Confirmation paper, with two studies on identifying mitochondrial impairment and the specific signalling pathways along the electron transport chain now written up. Monday I start on researching Proteomics. I have an idea that I might be able to link the mitochondrial proteomics with a blood biomarker by using the proteomics to identify the early causes of increasing reactive oxygen species and changes to OXPHOS which eventually leads into neurodegenerative progression.
